17 Shrines is an installation of everyday household appliances and objects symbolizing items of consumption in our materialistic society elevated to a divine status. In depicting these appliances as sacred objects and arranging them in the form of a great altar, viewers are invited to reflect on their own obsessions, temptations and desires.
